The Pi Omicron Omega Chapter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® the nation’s first Greek letter organization for college educated African American women has a proud tradition of celebrating academic excellence and inspiring young people to pursue higher education.

The Pi Omicron Omega Chapter, based in Burlington, North Carolina, proudly offers two scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Alamance County area.

  • A $1,000 scholarship is available for students planning to attend a four-year college or university.

  • A $500 scholarship is available for those pursuing their education at a two-year community college.

Eligible students in good standing at any Alamance County high school are encouraged to apply.

Key Information:

  • Deadline: Scholarship applications and supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, April 18, 2025.

  • Notification: Recipients will be notified of their awards in May 2025.
